Our VAAPA team successfully organized a STEM Event at Westminster High School.  We introduced to the students the concept of Wing Design relating to the Strength of Material and Composite by completing a Paper Wing Project. The material was provided by the Boeing Company.

Dear Esteemed Sponsors, Valued Members, Respected Colleagues, and Cherished Friends,

I am writing to you as the President of the Vietnamese American Aerospace Peer Association (VAAPA), to convey our deepest gratitude for your continuous support and significant contributions to our organization. Over the past two decades, VAAPA has thrived as a nonprofit professional entity, composed of a diverse group of Engineers, Scientists, and Managers from leading aerospace corporations in the United States, including the Boeing Company, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Company, Hughes Aircraft, TRW, General Dynamics, among others.

Our association is steadfastly committed to the advancement of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. We endeavor to kindle the flame of curiosity and innovation in the youth of Little Saigon by hosting our cornerstone event, the annual Mathcounts Competition for Junior High students. Furthermore, we are dedicated to empowering our members to enact positive change within the community through financial support and devoted volunteerism. VAAPA aims to evolve into a premier educational resource, keeping our community abreast of the latest technological trends.

VAAPA has consistently spearheaded the Mathcounts competitions, engaging Middle and Junior High School students across Orange County, California. This stimulating math contest nurtures mathematical aptitude through a sequence of dynamic and interactive challenges. Since its inception, our annual Mathcounts events have been pivotal in endorsing STEM excellence. Beyond this, we have orchestrated numerous STEM-oriented activities for High School students within the Westminster and Santa Ana School Districts, guiding them in the foundational aspects of rocketry and space project design.

At this juncture, we reach out to you to seek support through tax-deductible donations to sustain our annual MATHCOUNTS program, covering awards and related expenditures.
